葡聚糖-氨基外观呈白色絮状,不同的分子量也会影响葡聚糖的外观,氨基取代度为20%:例如采用20000分子量的葡聚糖,对其进行氨基化修饰,取代度为20%,即1 mol本品含117个葡萄糖单元,其中有23个葡萄糖单元被氨基化。Dextran葡聚糖(右旋糖酐Dextran),是一类具支链葡萄糖高聚物,他不带电荷,呈电中性,易溶于水,葡聚糖跟PEG一样具有良好的生物相容性,毒性较低适用于动物体内,葡聚糖还是一种生物可降解高分子聚合物,它可降解为低分子的糖。
葡聚糖可以连接不同的活化基团如:NH2/MAL/COOH等,还可以提供一些荧光标记的葡聚糖,如:FITC/Rhodamine等。
氨基葡聚糖(glycosaminoglycan) 俗称黏多糖(mucopolysacharide )。它是含氨多糖,由重复的二糖单位聚合而成不分支的长链,二糖单元中,有一个糖残基必定是氨基己糖,即N-乙酰葡糖胺或N -乙酰半乳糖胺,故名氨基葡聚糖。

In the disaccharide unit, one sugar residue must be aminohexose, i.e. N-acetylglucosamine or N-acetylgalactosamine, so it is called aminodextran.
